Hi there, my name is Connie (she/her/女) and I am a second-generation Chinese-Canadian immigrant. My ancestors were born in China and my parents immigrated to a small town in Manitoba, where they built a small business around food and community.

As a youth, I began exploring the creative arts as a form of communication, connection and emotional regulation. I used music, drawing, painting, writing, and basically, anything that allowed me to express myself, to help me process the challenges of acculturation and racial trauma.

As a neurodivergent art and expressive arts psychotherapist, mother and person of colour, I am passionate about supporting individuals in using the arts to challenge the demands that society projects onto us in the many roles we may hold. I believe each individual is unique and has the ability to process, challenge and share their own stories to help support them in being their best self.
